Musical extravaganza in garden city on July 19

Bangalore, July 19 (UNI) The India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) will premiere a musical eztravaganza ''Kaifi aur main'' in the city on July 19.

'Kaifi aur main' was a tribute to Kaifi Azmi, his poetry, work, life and his unending courage. It would be an exclusive performance celebrating Kaifi's poetry through the memories of Shaukat kaifi, an IFA release here said today.

Popular singer Jaswinder Singh would enthral the audience with ghazals and popular film songs of Kaifi Azmi. Renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar and his actress wife Shabana Azmi would take the audience through a personal journey and share moments that would be cherished for many a life time, the release added.

Music direction for the programme, written by Javed and directed by Ramesh Talwar, would be done by Kuldip Singh.
