MLA charges Ibobi govt of neglecting city areas

Imphal, Jul 19 (UNI) MLA of the 'Federal Party of Manipur' (FPM) L Ibomcha has alleged that the Secular Progressive Front (SPF) government led by Okram Ibobi Singh was working against the interests of the city and urban areas.

He further alleged that the local contractors were not paid for the last one year while contractors from other states were favoured.

He supported the stir launched by the All Manipur PWD Contractors Association. The Association said the government has failed to clear the dues for the last one year and the money meant for them were given to other firms.

Mr Ibomcha said contractors from other states were favoured due to close links with senior ministers.
