Mission programmes to be reviewed: Chouhan

Bhopal, July 19(UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said works in progress on the line of the eleven missions suggested by President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam for the state's overall development would be reviewed.

''Fresh roadmap would be outlined to achieve the mission goals particularly to increase the per capita income from Rs 14,000 to Rs 50,000 by 2010,'' he told reporters at the Assembly press room.

''More attention would be given to works in progress in fulfillment of the mission goal,'' he said.

''If rules permit, the suggestions made by Dr Kalam, while addressing the Assembly on July 17, would be discussed in the Vidhan Sabha also and the Speaker would be consulted in this regard,'' the Chief Minister said.

The President had suggested launching missions on agriculture and horticulture and the shortcomings in it would be removed in consultation with farmers and their organisations, Mr Chouhan added.
