Martyrs families pay tribute at War Memorial Vijay Stambh

Drass, (Kargil), July 19 (UNI) The families of Kargil martyrs today paid rich tributes to the jawans, who sacrificed their lives for the nation, at the war memorial 'Vijay Stambh' Drass sector in Kargil district today.

Meanwile, amidst chanting of religious hymns and slogans the nine-day all-religion prayer, which started yesterday in memory of 1999 Kargil martyrs, was continued today.

Swami Balak Yogeshwar Das head of Jammu based trust, Ati Vishnu Maha Yagya Samiti performed pooja along with 80 martyrs families close to the Tiger Hill, Batra Top, Battalik Hill and Tololing, which were witness to the battle between Indian army and Pakistan sponsored infiltrators in summer of 1999.
