Lankan Opposition leader Ranil arrives in India

New Delhi, July 19 (UNI) Sri Lankan Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe arrived here today to apprise the Indian leaders of the latest political and security scenario in the island nation, which is witnessing stepped-up violence.

During his five-day visit, Mr Wickremesinghe will meet President A P J Abdul Kalam, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and National Security Advisor M K Narayanan.

He will also meet Opposition leader L K Advani, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and former External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh.
