KAA Secretary withdraws police complaint against KOA chief

Bangalore, July 19 (UNI) Karnataka Athletics Association (KAA) Secretary Satyanarayana, who had sought police protection following a threat to his life allegedly by Karnataka Olympic Association President K Govindraj, today said he had withdrawn the complaint.

''I have withdrawn my complaint filed with the police as my friends, well wishers and members of KAA, who held talks with Mr Govindraj, came to understand that the threat was not instigated by him (Mr Govindraj) and assured that there is no need to fear,'' he told newspersons here.

However, he said he had not withdrawn his resignation from the post of KOA Joint Secretary.
