India emerging as a favourite investment destination : Lalu
Patna, July 19 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today said the UPA government had taken a slew of steps for creating a positive trade and commerce environment, helping the coutnry to become a favourite investment destination.
Launching ''MCA-21'' programme of Union Compnay Affairs Ministry for Bihar and Jharkhand, Mr Prasad said the Manmohan Singh government instead of following the ''propoganda centric'' policy of the former NDA government, made concerned efforts to help the country emerge as a fast growing centre.
He said his ministry was not alone in recording some impressive achiemements but the Ministry of Company Affairs and Heavy Industries had also contributed a lot to the growth of trade an commerce in the country.
''MCA-21'' programme is the countrys largest e-governance initiative by the Ministry of Company Affairs and a mission mode project under the Centres national e-governance plan.
Attacking the Nitish Kumar government, Mr Prasad said the NDA government was not taking any initiative for the progress of Bihar.
Union Company Affairs Minister Prem Chandra Gutpa said a Bill for formulation of a new Company Act would be introduced in Parliament in the coming Monsoon session to replace the Company Act, 1956.
