IAS officer earns seventh degree
Bhopal, July 19 (UNI) It is certainly not rare to come across a well-educated IAS officer but Madhya Pradesh's Principal Secretary (Revenue) Pukhraj Maru seems a class apart as the bureaucrat earned his seventh degree this year by securing a first class in MA (Sociology).
Way back in 1971, Dr Maru completed a BA (Sanskrit Literature) course and there was simply no stopping as he went on to successfully appear for the Sankrit 'Visharad' examination, MA (Hindi Literature), PhD (Hindi Literature), LLB and secured a gold medal in BCJ (Journalism).
As if all this is not enough, Dr Maru has sent an application to a Hyderabad-based institution to register for a post-graduate diploma course in Human Rights Law.
