HC to hear SIMI worker's plea on July 21

Jabalpur, July 19 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court will hear, on July 21, the bail plea of a SIMI worker arrested for being in possession of banned literature and fanning communal sentiments.

While hearing Kota-resident Mohammad Zafar's bail petition today, Justice A K Saksena directed that other documents relating to the case be furnished.

The petitioner submitted that he was apprehended on May 19 along with five friends while in possession of certain Urdu magazines and literature. A Madhya Pradesh Police team raided Zafar's Kota residence with assistance from their Rajasthan counterparts.

On June 1, a district and sessions court at Khandwa rejected his bail plea.
