Govt. to release 305 acre of land to Forest Department soon
Thiruvananthapuram, July 19 (UNI) Kerala Devaswom Minister G Sudhakaran today said 305 acres of land at Devikulam in Idukki district would be released to the Forest Department.
After a meeting with Revenue and Forest Ministers, he said the land would be provided in lieu of 122.675 hectares of forest land to be released by the Forest Department at Nilakkal and Sannidhanam for the implementation of the Sabarimala Master Plan, aimed at providing improved facilities to pilgrims.
Mr Sudhakaran said the land would be allotted within two weeks.
Revenue Minister K P Rajendran said a special team would be deputed to complete survey of the land at the earliest and Devaswom Secretary E K Bharat Bhushan would oversee the work.
