CPI(ML) 'Jan Andolan' from Aug 6 to 18
Lucknow, July 19 (UNI) Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) today announced to hold countrywide 'Jan Andolan' from August 6 to 18 on three point agenda -- Roti, democracy and national security.
Party national general secretary Dipankar said here under the agitation, the party would hold a 'Jan Adalat' in the national capital on August 17, when representatives from at least 100 districts would put their case on the centre sponsored National Rural Employment Gurantee Scheme (NREGS) in the country.
Dipanker, who chaired the three-day party's state executive meeting here which ended today, said on August 9 agitation would be held at the district and block level, while demonstration would be held on August 6 against the ''US sponsored global terrorism.'' He said the agitation would be spread out in 16 states, where the party supporters would stage protests over the failures of the respective state governments.
CPI(ML), secretary of UP unit, Akhilendra Pratap Singh criticised the Mulayam Singh Yadav government for raking up Muslim agenda in view of the 2007 assembly polls.
''The Samajwadi Party government is misleading Muslims with fake assurances,'' he alleged.
Demanding disclosure of the entire deal in the Reliance Power Project (Dadri), Mr Singh said government should come clean over giving farmers' land at Dadri to Reliance on throwaway prices.
