Court refuses bail to 60 Lok Sikshaks

Patna, Jul 19 (UNI) Chief Judicial Magistrate of Patna Sushma Sinha today rejected the regular bail petition of 60 incarcerated Lok Sikshaks in a case of stone pelting during a prosession.

According to the charges, Lok Sikshaks, who had taken out a procession in the state capital, suddenly turned violent and pelted stones at the administration at R Block under Sachiwalay police station area.

Several policemen were injured in this incident, which took place on July 14 last.

An FIR was registred under various sections of IPC, including the charges of attempt to murder against 1000 unknown people in addition to 61 named accused, who were arrested and sent to jail.

The court already rejected the bail petition of one accused yesterday.
