Cosmo Films posts 1370.7% net profit growth at Rs 613 lakhs

New Delhi, July 19 (UNI) Cosmo Films, India's leading BOPP manufacturer and supplier today registered 1370.7 per cent growth in net profits at Rs 613 lakhs for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 41 lakhs for the same period last year.

The EPS stands at Rs 12.60 compared to Rs 0.96 for corresponding results last quarter. The net sales reached Rs 12528 lakhs for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as against Rs 9173 lakhs for the corresponding quarter last year.

"Our focus on Thermal lamination film exports has paid rich dividends with the company registering spectacular growth," said Cosmo Films Executive Director and CEO Sushil K Mittal.

FOB value of exports has increased from Rs 3351 Lakhs in the previous year to Rs 6061 Lakhs in the corresponding quarter which shows an increase of more than 80 per cent.

Cosmo Films was started in 1980 to manufacture Bi-axially Oriented Polypropylene Films (BOPP) for the first time in India.
