CM exhort use of Re-cycled paper products during CW Games
New Delhi, July 19 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today called upon school children to prepare items making use of recycled paper, which could be utilized during the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Inaugurating an exhibition on recycling of paper to encourage use of paper bags and protection of trees, Mrs Dikshit said that recycled paper would prove to be appropriate for printing tickets and pamphlets during the Commonwealth Games.
In this context, she pointed out that her Government was making daily use of paper sheets prepared by 60 kg waste paper in the Delhi Secretariat.
The Chief Minister called upon people to make use of paper and jute bags instead of plastic bags, which would help in maintaining the environmental balance. She said production of one tonne recycled paper amounts to saving 17 trees.
