Bribery charge: Kumaraswamy not to quit
Bangalore, July 19: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today ruled out resigning from the post following BJP Legislator Janardhan Reddy reiterating his allegation that he had taken Rs 150 crore bribe from the mining lobby.
Talking to reporters here, he said he was ready to face any inquiry if Mr Reddy came up with evidence of his involvement in the receipt of bribe.
''I cannot quit just because the Opposition Congress is asking for it...There is no threat to the JD(S)-BJP coalition Government in the State,'' Mr Kumaraswamy said.
Mr Reddy has been changing his stand frequently thereby ebbing his credibility he said, adding that it was up to the BJP to take action against Mr Reddy.
