Bombs kill at least 3 in Baghdad
BAGHDAD, July 19 (Reuters) At least three people were killed and nearly 20 wounded in a triple bomb attack today near central Baghdad's Technology University, the police said.
Following a car bomb blast, two bombs planted nearby exploded a few minutes later.
One police source put the death toll at five dead and 17 wounded, another at three dead and 19 wounded. Three policemen were among the wounded, they said.
More than 100 people have been killed in two major attacks in the past two days as violence continues to mount, despite a security drive and political efforts to ease divisions by the two-month-old national unity government of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
