Bengal seek CII help for attracting FDI, investment
Kolkata, Jul 19 (UNI) West Bengal today sought CII's assistance for attracting FDI in high technology and infrastructure sectors.
CII president R Seshasayee, who met West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee at the Writers' Buildings, also expressed keeness for investments in agro-processing and heavy industries.
The Chief Minister also sought CII's support for working out a model for small and medium enterprise sector, the CII president said.
Bhattacharjee also asked for CII's help for saving the silk industry from Chinese competition, deep exploration in mines and development of skills for employment.
The Chief Minister asked the industry body to pitch for a mineral policy at the Central level.
