Bank looted at Jhumritilaya
Koderma, Jul 19 (UNI) Armed miscreants looted about Rs 12 lakh from Bank of Baroda branch at Jhumritilaya in Jharkhand's Koderma district today.
Superintendent of Police Manoj Mishra said eight looters, most of them equipped with revolvers, created panic among the customers inside the bank as the manager came out of the strong room with Rs 11,55,690 at 1030 hrs which was to be given to the cash counters for transaction.
Gun-totting miscreants, aged between 25-30 years, decamped with the booty, the police said adding the district's boundary had been sealed.
Search was on to nab the culprits.
