Airtel launches Fixed Wireless Phone service in AP
Hyderabad, July 19 (UNI) The telecom major Airtel today launched "Airtel Mega" Fixed Wireless Phone (FWP) services in Andhra Pradesh.
According to Bharti Airtel Limited Andhra Pradesh circle CEO Sam Elangalloor the company would soon launch the FWP in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati, Guntur and Warnagal over the next 15 days.
"The biggest advantage, "Airtel Mega" offers is the end-to-end service delivery (from booking to installation to after-sales) at the customer's doorstop. With the launch of this innovative FWP service, Airtel completes its total telecom services portfolio segments." The "Airtel Mega" operates on GSM network and was available in Postpaid and Prepaid tariff plans.
"It will be rolled out progressively across the length and breadth of Airtel's wireless network, which today spans virtually the entire urban landscape and a large number of villages in India.
Airtel Mega will bring to customers a unique bouquet of value added services including Hello Tunes, SMS, Caller ID and all other services", Mr Elangalloor added.
