Woman poisons ten members of family

Hubli, July 18 (UNI) Frustrated with petty quarrels in the family, a housewife has allegedly poisoned ten members of the family at Huilgol village in Gadag district of Karnataka.

Police said today that earlier it was suspected that all the ten members of the family took ill after they ate cucumber and drank contaminated water from a pond in their fields. However, on investigation, it was concluded by the police that it was a case of food poisoning.

The woman had allegedly mixed poison in the jawar flour and prepared rotis, after eating which all the ten fell unconscious.

The ten people were recuperating in Gadag district hospital and KIMS here.
