TTK Prestige registers record growth, profits up

Bangalore, Jul 18: TTK Prestige Limited, the largest provider of kitchen appliances in the country, today announced a record turnover of Rs 72.18 crore during the first quarter of the current fiscal, up by 59 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

Pre-tax profit of Rs 2.64 crore was 159 per cent more than Rs 1.02 crore earned during the quarter, ending June 30, 2005, according to a company release here.

The company said introduction of 22 new products, besides addition of 17 'Prestige Smart Kitchen' outlets in the quarter had led to steep growth in product volumes across categories.

Commenting on the results, Company Chairman T T Jagannathan said ''with the pre-tax profit growth of 159 per cent in the first quarter, the company is very confident of maintaining the momentum and registering an all time high growth in its annual turnover. In addition to introducing 80 and more Prestige Smart Kitchens this fiscal, the company is also planning to enter exciting new categories in the kitchen domain and specialised offerings for different consumer segments. The Superbrand status accorded to us in an affirmation of the all round growth that the company is witnessing.''
