Tokyo stocks fall on brokerages after long weekend
TOKYO, July 18 (Reuters) The Nikkei average fell 0.76 percent on Tuesday, with shares of brokerages such as Nomura Holdings Inc.
declining amid concerns about a worsening market outlook after recent falls in U.S. stocks.
The Tokyo stock market resumed trading on Tuesday after being closed for a national holiday on Monday.
The Nikkei was down 98.04 points at 14,747.20 as of 0005 GMT, extending falls into a fifth straight session. The TOPIX index lost 1 percent to 1,506.55.
