Three arrested for beating officials
Narsinghpur, MP, July 18 (UNI) Three black-marketeers were today arrested for bashing up officials of the Food and Civil Supplies Department when a raid was carried out at their den, police said.
Food and Civil Supplies Officer Keshavrai Ghore, Food Inspector Rajesh Tiwari and Tarun Singh were beaten up brutally during a raid on the den of petroleum products and kerosene black-marketeers.
The officials fled from the spot and received primary treatment from the district hospital. They were later referred to Jabalpur.
Meanwhile, senior officials were tight-lipped over not taking help from police during the raid.
Police registered cases against four accused and had arrested Sharan Patel, Arvind Patel and Deepak in this connection.
