SW monsoon vigorous in Vidarbha
Pune, July 18 (UNI) Southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Vidarbha and active in west Madhya Pradesh.
Day temperatures were above normal in parts of west Rajasthan, where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in.
Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in west Madhya Pradesh and at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka and Kerala.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and at a few places in West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, interior Karnataka, Andman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu.
Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at most places in Vidarbha. Heavy rains have occured at many places in west Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra.
Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Marathwada.
Rain or thundershowes have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal east Madhya Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and at many places in Jharkhand, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Telangana and Kerala and at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, south interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at isoalted places in Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, east Rajasthan, Gujarat, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, north interior Karnataka and Andman and Nicobar Islands.
Mainly dry weather prevailed over Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and Rayalseema.
