Sunil Sipaeya fails to qualify for Indianapolis Championship
New Delhi, July 18 (UNI) Sunil Kumar Sipaeya could not make it to the main draw of the 575,000 dollar RCA Championship in Indianapolis after the Indian lost his second round qualifying singles match in straight sets.
Sixth seeded Sipaeya tried every trick in his book and waged a gritty battle in the first set but Mashiska Washington proved the clear supeior of the two and the American had little problem in chalking out a 7-5, 6-2 win.
In the previous round, Sipaeya had thrashed American Kiantki Thomas 6-0, 6-3 with consummate ease, according to information received here today.
