Security at airports, vital installations beefed up
New Delhi, July 18 (UNI) Security at airports and vital installations all over country has been strengthened following the Mumbai blasts on July 11 in which about 200 people were killed and hundreds injured.
Security in and around airports at Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai and Guwahati haS been strengthened and additional forces deployed. Moreover, the security of vital installations and prominent sites like India Gate have also been beefed up. This has been done in view of the increased threat perception following the blasts.
However, a home ministry spokesman said a general security advisory about increasing security has been issued after the serial blasts. But the contents of the advisory which is a secret document can not be revealed.
Meanwhile, some websites and blogs have also been blocked following the blasts. They have been blocked following intelligence reports about their posing threat to the security of the country.
