Raj Singh Dungarpur to lead three-member delegation at Lords
New Delhi, July 18 (UNI) It will be a dream come true for the Indian Women's Cricket team when for the first time they will play on the hallowed grounds of Lords against England under the aegis of all powerful BCCI.
In a landmark move, the BCCI has appointed a three-member delegation headed by Raj Singh Dungarpur to visit England and be the part of a historic moment on August 14. The delegation also includes former India captain Dilip Vengsarkar and former Women's team captain Shubhangi Kulkarni.
Indian Women's Team will be playing an international match under the aegis of BCCI for the first time after its recent decision to oversee the running of women's cricket in the country.
Vengsarkar has the rare distinction of scoring three Test hundreds at Lord's, the Mecca of cricket. Shubhangi Kulkarni, a former all-rounder is presently the Board's coordinator of the women's cricket wing.
Dungarpur is former Board President, chairman of selection committee and has been the manager of the Indian teams on important tours.
