Pakistan to import Indian farm machinery
Barnala, July 18 (UNI) Pakistan will import farm machinery, particularly combine harvestors, from India through the Wagah border.
A local company, Standard Combines and Tractors have tied up with All Corporation of Pakistan to export combines and tractors.
The Pakistan company has given an undertaking to import 100 harvester combines and 50 tractors from from Standard, the Company's deputy General Manager S S Brara said here today.
The officials of the Pakistan company who had made numerous trips to the Standard plant, had approved both the items and soon export of these would commence if all goes as planned, Mr Brara said.
He said the Pak corporation, based at Karachi and Lahore, is the biggest player in the agriculture implements industry in Pakistan and its tieup augurs well with Standard's export plans.
