MTNL employee, tout arrested for graft

New Delhi, July 18 (UNI) The Delhi Police have arrested an employee of the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited for demanding and accepting bribe from a person for reactivation of his mobile connection.

Hari Singh, a phone mechanic at the Garuda service centre at the SDO office in Shakti Nagar telephone exchange was arrested by the Anti-corruption branch of the Delhi Police on a complaint by Rajesh Singh. He had demanded Rs 500 for reactivation of the connection.

The police also arrested another person, Anil Madan, who accepted the bribe money on the instructions of Hari Singh.
