Model files complaint against producer for exploiting her
Mumbai, July 18 (UNI) An aspiring model today filed a complaint with the social service branch (SSB) of Mumbai police against a film producer for allegedly releasing some of her ''objectionable'' photographs to a magazine for publication, ''without her consent.'' In her statement made before the SSB officials, model Yasmin Khan alleged that producer Mahendra Dhariwal, with an intention to malign her image, released her photographs to 'Complete Cinema' magazine, without her consent.
She said about 15 days ago, Dhariwal had called her for a photo session, under the pretext of assigning her a lead role in a Rs 2.5 crore film.
Yasmin alleged that a few days ago, he called her again to his office and asked for sexual favours, which she claimed to have refused.
Thereafter, the producer started harassing her and also threatened her, she further alleged.
She said when the magazine came into the market on Sunday last, she saw her photographs published there, with the clipping of a 'C' grade film.
The model alleged that the incident has affected her, and some of the other producers who had signed her, have asked her to return the signing amount, saying that ''she had acted in a 'C' grade film.'' Meanwhile, the SSB officials, after recording her statement, directed her to lodge an FIR against the producer with Oshiwara police station, as the incident comes under its jurisdiction.
