Mithi to be sworn in Pondy Lt Governor tomorrow

Pondicherry, July 18 (UNI) Mr Mukut Mithi, the new Lt Governor of Pondicherry, will be sworn in at 1550 hours tomorrow.

According to official sources, Pondicherry Chief Judge M Chinna Pandy will administer the oath of office to Mr Mithi at a function at the Rajnivas.

Mr M M Lakhera, the Lt Governor of Pondicherry who was shifted and posted as the Governor of Mizoram, would leave Pondicherry at 0900 hours tomorrow and would assume office as the Governor of Mizoram on July 24, the sources added.

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Gegong Apang, Pondicherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy and his cabinet collegues besides senior officals of the territorial administration will take part in the swearing in ceremony of the new Governor.
