Kingfisher CEO says no plans to order new planes
FARNBOROUGH, England, July 18 (Reuters) India's Kingfisher Airlines said on Tuesday it had no immediate plans to order more aircraft and said it was happy with the redesign of Airbus' A350 mid-sized jet.
''We have already ordered aircraft and we do not need to order any more aircraft right now,'' Kingfisher Chief Executive Vijay Mallya told Reuters on the sidelines of the Farnborough International Airshow.
''Our 350s are going to come to us in 2012 and if we are getting a brand new aircraft for the same price, something that is a lot better than the old 350s, then it is a reason to celebrate.'' Mallya said he did not expect the price of the new A350s to change.
Mallya also said the airline would not be affected by delays in deliveries to the A380 and had no intention to change its current order of 5 of the superjumbo aircraft.
