KFC to expand to other metros soon

Hyderabad, July 18 (UNI) Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), the leading Chicken restaurant chain will expand its presence to all major metros in the coming years through franchisees and self-owned restaurants, KFC Indian Sub Continent Senior Marketing Manager Unnat Varma said today.

Speaking here at the inaugural function of its second outlet in the city, he said with opening of the new restaurant the total number of the KFC restaurants in India had gone up to 16.

He said the success of the first store had prompted them to open another one in the city.

He said the KFC catering to Indian preferences had successfully adopted itself to local taste and palate.

The occasion also marked the launch of 'K' ka Kamal promotion programme, which would be on from July 20 to August ten.

Under this promotion programme anyone whose first name begins with the letter 'K' would get a free food coupon worth the same value of the order, that could be redeemed on their next visit to the KFC.

Tamil actor Suriya unveiled a huge cut out of the letter 'K' in connection with the new promotion.
