JKCA suspended two members for their anti-association activities
Srinagar, July 18 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has suspended general secretary Saleem Khan and G M Ronga for their anti-association activities.
The decision to suspend Mr Khan and Mr Ronga was taken at a working committee meeting of the JKCA which was presided over by Chairman Mehboob Iqbal in the absence of president Dr Farooq Abdullah.
A spokesman of the JKCA said the working committee took a serious note of the anti association activities of certain members particularly Mr Ronga and Mr Khan.
The Committee also took serious exceptions of the fact that despite clear instructions by the President to initiate action against Mr Ronga, the General secretary refused to take any steps.
It was resolved that Mr Ronga be forthwith suspended from the Working Committee and a show cause notice be issued to him.
The matter would be further looked into by the Disciplinary Committee of the JKCA.
He said it was unanimously recommended to the President to suspend Saleem Khan from the association. Till then Mr Khan be stopped from functioning as secretary of the JKCA.
It will be the joint secretary JKCA (Kashmir wing) who will look after the office work of General Secretary.
The BCCI and all the affiliated units of JKCA will be intimated accordingly, he said.
