Inebriated father kills three kids

Jamshedpur, Jul 18 (UNI) In a ghastly incident an inebriated person axed his three children to death after being denied money for Handia (a tribal intoxicant) at Jojobera village under Manjhari police station area in West Singhbhum district on Sunday night.

Police today said Jojo Kunkal, the alleged murderer, has been arrested.

Sources said Jojo became angry after his wife refused to give him Rs two for his drink and attacked her with a sharp axe. However, she managed to flee with one of their children.

The enraged man first killed his ten-year old son Badula. But his elder son Simbru Kunkal (12) gave the slip as his father beheaded two-year old Suresh and then killed six-year old daughter Kodma.

The bodies of the children have been sent for postmortems and the weapon used for the crime has been seized, police added.
