Hospitals, too, pay homage to 7/11 victims
Mumbai, July 18 (UNI) Hospitals across the city also joined the two-minutes silence in memory of those dead and injured in last Tuesday's terror attacks on suburban trains.
Dr Neelima Shersagar, Dean of the King Edwards Memorial (KEM) hospital told UNI that doctors and other staff at the hospital observed silence as mark of respect.
At the State-run J J Hospital, doctors, nurses and other staff stood in silence as the President led the homage. No operations were scheduled or conducted during the period, said resident doctor Omar Khan.
Earlier, Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh along with his entire Cabinet joined President A P J Abdul Kalam at Mahim Railway station to observe the silence.
