HDFC Q1 net up 20 per cent to Rs 296.82 crore

Mumbai, Jul 18: The Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd (HDFC) has posted a net profit of Rs 296.82 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 247.28 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, an increase of 20.03 per cent, company sources said today.

Announcing the results, the company's total income has increased from Rs 934.76 crore in Q1 of FY 2005-06 to Rs 1,248.53 crore in Q1 of FY 2006-07.
