HC asks govt to constitute medical board for Shahabuddin
Patna, July 18 (UNI) Patna High Court today asked Bihar government to constitute a five member board for medical examination of incarcerated RJD MP Mohammed Shahabuddin.
After hearing arguments on a writ petition filed by Mr Shahabuddin, a single bench of Jusitce Chandramauli Kumar Prasad passed the order for constitution of the medical board under the chairmanship of the director of state health services.
The bench had directed the state government to submit an action taken report (ATR) by July 23, fixing the next date of hearing on July 25.
The RJD MP is presently under judicial custody in Siwan jail in connection with several offences like possessing foreign made firearms, foreign currency, power theft power and others.
