FSO trapped in Visakhapatnam
Hyderabad, Jul 18 (UNI) The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today trapped Munwar Ahmed, a Forest Section Officer (FSO), Anakapalle Range, when he demanded and accepted bribe of Rs 2,000.
He took the bribe at his residence from the complainant KUVS Satyanarayana of Anakapalle, a timber merchant, as illegal gratification for issuing ''Transit Permit'' for the transport of Teak Fuel wood.
The chemical test conducted on the accused Officer proved positive on his right hand, and on the papers which came in contact with the tainted money kept in a small bag. The tainted money was recovered at his instance from a small hand bag.
He was arrested. He will be produced before the ACB court, Visakhapatnam, the ACB release added.
