Forun thanks minister for seat allocation

Pondicherry, July 18 (UNI) The Mahe Residents Forum today thanked Health Minister E Valsaraj for obtaining 17 MBBS seats in private medical colleges here for the students from Mahe region.

Forum Secretary Prasanth in a statement here, said this was the first time the students from the region were getting a higher allocation.

Mr Prasanth also thanked the minister for the speedy implementation of the Anjrakandy water supply scheme which would meet the drinking water requirements in Mahe.

Mr Valsaraj had handed over the third instalment of over Rs two crore for the scheme, to the Kerala Water Supply Minister Premachandran in Thiruvananthapuram, yesterday.
