Centre allocates Rs 936 cr for EGS

Bhopal, July 18: The Centre has allocated Rs 936.17 crore to Madhya Pradesh till June this year under the rural employment guarantee scheme, the Assembly was informed today.

The state's allocation under REGS during the same period this year was Rs 104.01 crore, Panchayat Minister Narendra Singh Tomar told Mr Ajay Singh in a written reply.

Providing employment to the needy was satisfactory in 18 districts where the scheme had been implemented, he added.
