Amity mulling over campuses in Dubai, Singapore

Lucknow, Jul 18: India's prominent chain of educational institutions in private sector Amity is mulling over setting up overseas campuses in Dubai and Singapore.

The University already has 14 campuses in the country at various places including Noida, Lucknow, Delhi, Gurgaon, Jaipur, and Bhubneshwar.

Amity Lucknow Campus Director Naresh Chandra told sources today the Dubai campus would start functioning from the current academic session itself.

''The broad contours of the proposed campus including faculty and infrastructure is being worked out and a decision is expected soon,'' he informed.

Amity also plans to set up a campus in Allahabad especially offer law courses, since the town is home to the Allahabad High Court, he added.

The University is one of the 35 educational institutions participating in the two-day Education Worldwide India Fair, that started here this morning.

The Fair is offerring career option available in various streams including management, IT, medical, fashion, multimedia, hotel management, tourism, air hostess training, graphic design, beauty care, bio-technology and media.

Eminent educational consultants are also participating for admission to foreign institutions in US, Canada, UK, Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia, Russia, New Zealand, China and Thailand.

The Fair is in the series of similar events for Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Dehradun, New Delhi, Lucknow Patna, Ranchi and Bhopal.
