Under trial prisoner dies of ill-health

Chittoor, July 17 (UNI) A jail inmate under trial died of ill- health at a government hospital here.

The prisoner Ragunath (45) alias Ragu , who was arrested under NDPS Act on charges of transporting ganja at Bangarupalam mandal in the district was lodged in sub-jail since November 2005.

He was admitted in a government hospital last night after his health deterioated , the sub-jail authourities told UNI here.

The inmate was suffering from TB since long back.

Meanwhile, the body was sent for postmortem.
