2 militants killed in night-long encounter Kashmir

Srinagar, July 17: Two militants were killed by troops in a night-long operation in north Kashmir, a Defence Ministry Spokesman said today.

He said the encounter ensued after a search party was attacked by militants who were holed up in a house at Arin Bandipora in north Kashmir last evening.

The operation was still going on when last reports came in.

So far two militants have been killed, he said.
