Training programme for poll candidates

Vijayawada, July 17 (UNI) The Lok Satta today launched 'Prajarajyam', a programme to promote a new culture in politics and to impart training to candidates in the forthcoming panchayat elections.

The one-day training programme, held at Gudivada in Krishna district, was attended by candidates for the ensuing polls.

The rights and duties of sarpanches and ward members to inculcate new values in the elections were discussed at the training programme.

It also sensitised the future leaders on the government programmes to be implemented and supervised by the elected representatives for the society.
