Security beefed up in Kohima, Dimapur
Kohima, July 17: Security has been beefed up in Kohima and State's commercial hub of Dimapur following reports of reinforcement of underground cadres belonging to various factions in both the towns.
According to the official sources here today, extra policemen are being deployed in various places in the towns, besides deploying the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) at vulnerable points to thwart any inter-factional clash.
Administrations in other districts also asked for reinforcement of IRB to maintain law and order situation here.
NSCN-IM had earlier claimed that one of its cadres was killed in a factional clash in Kohima on Thursday last, but the rival faction NSCN(K) has denied having killed him.
