Prez arrives in Bhopal for 1 day
Bhopal, July 17: President A P J Abdul Kalam today arrived in the state capital by a special aircraft at the Raja Bhoj airport here at around 1025 hrs.
He was welcomed at the airport by Madhya Pradesh Governor Balram Jakhar, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, his cabinet colleagues and senior army officials.
Dr Kalam took brief rest for five minutes and drove straight for the Vidhan Sabha where he would address legislators of the state assembly at 1105 hrs..
This would be the first time in the history of MP assembly when the President would address the House.
He will leave from the Vidhan Sabha for the airport at 1230 hrs from where he would leave for Jhabua district's Hatyadeli village via Indore. He would interact with tribal children and see development works and cultivation of jatropha at the village.
After one hour, he will return to Indore, from where he will leave for Mumbai.
