Panel constitued to probe loan disbursal by cooperatives

Thiruvananthapuram, July 17 (UNI) Kerala Cooperation Minister G Sudhakaran today said a detailed probe is being made into the disbursal of loans to the tune of about Rs 500 crore by cooperative banks to various groups and individuals without any valid documents.

Talking to newspersons here, he said district level committees had been constituted in all the 14 districts and a state-level committee would coordinate the investigation.

District-level committees had been asked to submit their reports within 45 days to the state committee which would submit the final report to the government within two months. The government would take necessary action, on the basis of the report, he added.
