MP forests are well known to me, says Kalam
Bhopal, Jul 17: President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam today said his intensive tour of the forest areas in Madhya Pradesh more than a decade ago led to establishment of an important critical national facility in the forest region.
Addressing the legislators on the inaugural day of the monsoon session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly celebrating its golden jubilee, Dr Kalam said ''the forests of the state are well known to me. During 1985-1995, I have moved from one area to another continuously for many days with my team. That was the time when I interacted with many tribal groups''.
''Of course, some forest areas, where I had worked, are now part of Chhattisgarh'', he said.
