KLO member arrested

Balurghat, Jul 17 (UNI) Kamtapur Peoples Party (Nikhil Ray group) central committee member Biplab Burman was arrested by South Dinajpur police yesterday.

Police seized a pistol from his possession.

Police had been on the lookout for him as he was the linkman of the outfit.

A few months ago police had arrested one Malkhan Singh in connection with the murder of DYFI leader Sekhar Singh.

During interrogation Malkhan had admitted that Biplab was also involved in the incident. Since then police was searching for Biplab.

District Police Superintendent Kalyan Kumar Mallick said Biplab was being inetrrogated.
